Sunday sermon from the book of the prophet Jeremiah 13 [13] 15-18 & from the Gospel according to John 15 [12] 34-43, on 03/11/2024, speaker Sotiris Stergios --------- ----------------------------------- Excerpts from the Bible: Jeremiah 13 [13] 15-18 15 ) Go where you find what you want penetrate: and all that are gathered together shall fall by the sword. 16) And their children will be crushed before them; their houses will be plundered, and their wives will be taken away. 17) Behold, I will raise up the Medes against them, who will not consider silver; and in gold, they will not suffer for it; 18) but their bows will crush the youths; and they will not spare the fruit of the belly; the eye He doesn't want any of these greedy children. -------------------------------------------- According to John 15 [12 ] 34-43 34) The crowd answered him: We heard from the law that Christ remains forever, and how do you say that the Son of man must be raised? Is this the Son of man? 35) So Jesus said to them: For a little while the light is with you; walk while you have the light, so that the darkness does not overtake you; and he who walks in darkness does not know where he is going. 36) While you have the light, believe in the light, to become sons of the light. Jesus spoke these things, and at last he hid himself from them. 37) But while he performed so many miracles before them, they did not believe in him; 38) that the word of the prophet Isaiah might be fulfilled, which he said: Lord, did you believe in our preaching? and the Lord's arm in thine was revealed? 39) Therefore it was not possible for them to believe because Isaiah said again; 40) Blind their eyes and harden their hearts, so that they may not see with their eyes and understand with their hearts and return and heal them. 41) This is what Isaiah said when he saw his glory and spoke about him. 42) But many of the rulers also believed in him, except for the Pharisees who did not speak on their shoulders, so that they would not become dissidents. 43) Because they loved the glory of men rather than the glory of God. --------------------------------------------- Amen
