Suchness and Duality, the Ultimate Truth. 1. What is Suchness? ???? Suchness is the absolute essence, the ultimate reality, beyond all concepts and distinctions. As the Emptiness of all dharmas, Suchness is neither born nor destroyed, neither increases nor decreases, always peaceful and motionless. It is the natural, eternal reality. 2. Duality: Opposition and Distinction ⚖️ Duality is the distinction between pairs of opposites such as existence-non-existence, good-evil, self-other. This is the origin of ignorance and suffering in samsara. Duality appears due to the mind discriminating and clinging to the appearances of things. 3. The Origin of Suchness and Duality ???? Suchness is the inherent nature of all dharmas, existing naturally without the need for causes and conditions. Every sentient being possesses Buddha nature and has the ability to realize Suchness. Duality arises from the confusion of the mind, when the mind clings to phenomena and creates distinctions. 4. Characteristics and Overcoming Duality ???? True Nature cannot be grasped through words or concepts. It is non-discriminatory and does not belong to birth and death. Meanwhile, Duality has the characteristic of division, leading us into the cycle of suffering. Overcoming Duality is the key to approaching True Nature. 5. True Nature and the Path of Practice ????♂️ True Nature is the ultimate goal of the path of practice. When practitioners eliminate ignorance and purify their minds, they will reside in the reality of True Nature. On the contrary, Duality is an obstacle that practitioners need to overcome to attain enlightenment. 6. Application of True Nature and Duality in Life ???? Living peacefully and freely in True Nature helps us not to be entangled by the opposing distinctions in life. At the same time, practicing compassion, joy, equanimity and wisdom will help let go of attachment to Duality, reaching liberation. 7. Methods of Perception and Contemplation ???? Perceiving the True Nature with Prajna wisdom helps practitioners overcome discrimination. The process of meditation, contemplating Emptiness and mindfulness helps the mind return to the reality of True Nature. Contemplating Duality will help break attachments and clearly see the impermanent nature of all things. 8. Liberation and Attainment ✨ When practitioners break ignorance and realize the True Nature, they will attain enlightenment (Bodhi). Achieving complete liberation, the mind is no longer shaken. When letting go of Duality, practitioners attain Nirvana - a state of equality, no longer discriminating. Join the Path to Understanding the Ultimate Truth ???? Thank you for watching this video!
