It is very important that the students who will study in this department are eager to learn and research, have no problem with memorization, are ready to work at an intensive pace, and especially love chemistry and biology courses. So, what can you do after you graduate from pharmacy? Unfortunately, pharmacy is viewed from a very narrow perspective in our country. Most parents think that pharmacy is limited to opening a pharmacy or working in a pharmacy. Unfortunately, students miss out on other important career opportunities offered by this department because they make their choices within these narrow frameworks. When the difficulty of opening a pharmacy is added to all of this, the department causes disappointment for some friends. In order for you not to experience this disappointment, let us share with you our analyses specific to 150 graduates so that you can see the breadth of the spectrum. First, here are the schools that the 150 people we reached graduated from. It is very clear that there are very well-established, good schools on this list. So, what jobs do these graduates do? The jobs that graduates do are grouped into 5 main groups. The first and of course the most demanded is pharmacy pharmacy, the second is hospital pharmacy, the third is pharmacy in the public sector, the fourth is an academic career in pharmacy and finally the private sector, which we call industrial pharmacy. Of the 150 graduates we could reach, nearly 60% (58) are practicing pharmacy pharmacy, that is, working in pharmacies. In fact, this rate is even higher in the statistics of some institutions. In our own environment, the number of people working in pharmacies is lower because the young generation has recently started to evaluate different opportunities more and has turned to the private sector. Hospital pharmacy is 6%, public 4%, academia is 6% and the private sector is 24%. Let's also state the good news: 4% of academia is pursuing a career in the country and 2% is pursuing a career abroad. In the private sector, 20% of those working in the country are pursuing a career abroad and 4% are pursuing a career abroad. In other words, we see that around 6% continue their careers abroad. In conclusion, when we look at this whole picture, yes, pharmacy pharmacy may be the focus, but it is very important to be aware of other opportunities as well.
