Vladyslav, 29, is in his 7th semester of studying business informatics at the Würzburg-Schweinfurt University of Applied Sciences (since 2023 Technical University) and started his bachelor's thesis two weeks ago: Develop an asynchronous messaging service for seniors in collaboration with the Caritas Multigenerational House. He spent two weeks reading up on the topic and starting programming; he hardly found any time for sleep or leisure. Today is his first meeting with the ultimate users of the app: the seniors. For this, he wants to have a first prototype ready that he can show. Can the seniors handle the technology? Are they open to it? For Vladyslav, the bachelor's thesis is good preparation for starting his career: Although he had many practical projects on software development and process optimization during his studies, this is the first time for him that he has direct customer contact and has to work in a customer-oriented manner.
