Anyone who decides to study aerospace engineering should be good at math, have an understanding of physics and spatial imagination. Just like Felix. He is studying aerospace in the 4th semester of his master's degree at the Technical University of Munich. He says of his studies: You use mathematics and physics as tools to solve real problems. For example: How can I build my airplane as light as possible? How can I get to other planets? You are always working at the limits of what is currently technically possible - one of the special features of the course. He can also put his knowledge into practice in the student initiative "Levitum". Specifically: Felix has to do a vibration test on a self-built drone. A lot can happen during the test, in the worst case the propellers can come loose or components can be damaged. That would be a major setback. The vibrations of the propellers should be as low as possible so that the drone flies optimally. Felix and his team have to evaluate the measurement results, filter out vibrations using software filters and finally attempt a flight test with the drone.
