Want to boost your self-confidence? Do this development exercise and you will start to believe in yourself more. Today I will tell you about an exercise called the Motivational Alphabet (or otherwise the Motivational Alphabet). This is an exercise in the field of personal development and psychology. The Motivational Alphabet is very often used in sports (it is used by sports psychologists). If you are looking for other ways not only to boost your self-confidence, but also to live a happier life, I recommend the latest video on my wife's channel: Basia Wójcik - Lady of Psychology Ways to a happy life according to a Buddhist monk. I tested it on myself (not everything worked). • Ways to a happy life according to a Buddhist... How to boost your self-confidence? How to work on self-confidence (self-confidence)? Our self-confidence is low because we constantly hear voices in our heads that criticize us. Very often we have adopted the way of speaking of people who were important to us, but criticized us at every turn. Such wing clippers were our parents, teachers or friends. Such people often told us that we would fail at something, that we had messed up something, that we had made another mistake. These words stayed in our heads and we often repeat them. We often say to ourselves: I won't succeed, I'm too weak, it's too big a challenge, there's no point in trying. I talked about wing clippers in the film: Check if you surround yourself with TOXIC PEOPLE? 7 types of people you don't want in your life. • Check if you surround yourself with TOXIC PEOPLE... Such thoughts can be depressing and have a negative impact on our self-confidence. It's really hard to believe in yourself when you are your harshest judge, or even when you are your own worst enemy and critic. The exercise I'm going to teach you today is to help you fight these negative thoughts. The Motivational Alphabet is to be your way to finally have some positive words related to your self-assessment in your head. The exercise is trivially simple in theory, but doing it requires a lot of effort, which is why it's so effective. What is the Motivational Alphabet? How to do this developmental exercise (instructions)? Write down all the letters of the alphabet from A to Z on a large piece of paper. Skip letters like Y and Polish characters like Ż or Ą. Match each letter with a trait that describes you in some way. For example: A - ambitious, assertive, altruistic B - smart, rebellious, selfless Remember to ultimately choose only one trait (the most important to you). You don't have to write down the traits in order, start with the ones that come easily to you. If the entire alphabet is too much for you at this point, use my simpler method. Instead of writing the entire alphabet, write only the traits for the letters of your name. Here's my example: P - hard-working, resourceful A - ambitious T - caring, tough R - sensible, joyful K - specific, creative, loving Why does it work? Why is it worth doing your Motivational Alphabet? You show that you know yourself. Many people talk to themselves using the same words all the time. When we use negative words to describe ourselves, our self-confidence decreases. When you have your own Motivational Alphabet, you can finally start using positive words about yourself. When you fail at something, when you fail, you can always go back to your Motivational Alphabet and remind yourself that there are many other areas and traits that you can be proud of, apart from this failure. If it seems too easy to work, just try it and see for yourself. This development exercise is an eye-opener for many people, because they start to notice traits that they have not thought about before. When choosing specific traits, you can think about them, as in my example: P - hard-working, resourceful R - sensible, joyful Your Motivational Alphabet shows what you think about yourself at a given moment. Remember that the traits that are important to you can change. Also, remember that what is important to you may not be important to someone else. That is why you say to do your Motivational Alphabet yourself. If you feel like it, hang it in a visible place. You are more than just a collection of negative words and descriptions that were spoken by people who were cutting you off. If you want to build self-confidence, start by being nicer to yourself. Start thinking good things about yourself. How many people do you think will do their Motivational Alphabet? There will be few of them, because people look for miraculous recipes for happiness and development, but when they have to do some work, they look for excuses why it doesn't work. Hundreds of athletes have their Motivational Alphabet and it supports them in difficult moments. You too can benefit from the power of the Motivational Alphabet.
