The Schopfer mine was one of the largest mining operations since the 18th century. Two tunnels are preserved today – Ján Nepomuk in the area of the Dolné banské závod and Dolná Schopfer tunnel in the area of the headquarters of the Gerambov Mining Union in Jalšová dolina. They are connected to each other underground. Repaired portals with copies of the statues of the patrons of the mines are preserved at both tunnels. They are registered as part of the UNESCO world cultural heritage. Hidden in the mine are the remains of a trio of underground gables - i.e. horse-powered traction machines and huge open spaces.
