On Stockholm's Photo Day on March 25, Alexander will tell more about his job as a photographer at Dagens Nyheter based on his latest book: What challenges he faces, what his everyday life looks like and what it takes to create images that touch. Alexander Mahmoud is a photographer at Dagens Nyheter. Using the camera as a tool, he depicts events both in Sweden and internationally. He has followed Thai berry pickers in Norrland, documented the consequences of gang shootings and met refugees on Lesbos - to name a few examples. He has been nominated several times for the Great Journalism Prize, as Narrator of the Year and Voice of the Year. He has also won the award together with DN journalists Josefin Sköld and Patrik Lundberg - for their examination of the Swedish adoption system. Then in the Disclosure of the Year category. Alexander has also spoken on Sveriges Radio this summer and released two books, most recently "Du vill inte mer", which was published in February by Norstedt's publishing house. The new book, which Alexander describes as a declaration of love for work, is a photographic work diary in which 150 images are mixed with texts about his work at DN, life in general and about meetings with different people - famous as well as less famous. - I work a lot and then when I'm free I want to work, or I dream about the job. It's like that when you've got your dream job, says Alexander about being a DN photographer. ------ 25 March 2023 Stockholm Photo Day, Saturday 25 March 2023 Mässvägen 1, Älvsjö More information at https://www.kamerabild.se/stockholmsf...
