Is the ladder safe? Can it support weight? Will it fall? Watch the video we recorded with 10 people climbing this ladder at the same time and draw your own conclusions: • Floating Ladder Supports Weight and is Safe... NOTE: Always be careful when building this ladder with a qualified professional. It is not enough to tear the wall and anchor the ladder in the hole. In our case, the beam of the ladder was supported by the pillars of the house. It is not ideal to change the structure. However, in the case of our project, its dimensions are outside the common standard, with robust beams and pillars and thick walls, which allowed us to use this construction technique. In addition, 3/8 and even 1/2 inch steel was used, which will allow for greater tensile strength of the steps and distribution of the load made up of both the ladder's own weight and the load it will receive. Each project has its own particularities; there is no single way to do things. This is a high-end house; we do not recommend doing this in a low- or medium-end house. In this 10-minute video, I show you step by step how to make a modern floating staircase from scratch. Check it out and if you like it, leave a like and subscribe to our channel!
