NOTE: Always be careful when building this ladder with a qualified professional. It is not enough to tear the wall and anchor the ladder in the hole. In our case, the beam of the ladder was supported by the pillars of the house. It is not ideal to change the structure. However, in the case of our project, its dimensions are outside the common standard, with robust beams and pillars and thick walls, which allowed us to use this construction technique. In addition, 3/8 and even 1/2 inch steel was used, which will allow for greater tensile strength of the steps and distribution of the load made up of both the ladder's own weight and the load it will receive. Each project has its own particularities; there is no single way to do things. This is a high-end house; we do not recommend doing this in a low- or medium-end house.
