#Hiking, South Tyrol, #Trentino, #Crossing the Alps from #Merano to #Lake Garda (6 stages, approx. 110 km of hiking, 2 bus transfers in between, the tour largely follows the GPX route suggestions of the tour operator EuroHike, but supplemented by small but fine hiking sock detours:), Stage 6: From the Lomason Valley to Riva del Garda (approx. 18 km/ +500 m/ - 900 m) On their last stage of the long-distance hiking trail from Merano to Lake Garda, the hiking sock experience, among other things, many steep forest paths, mighty rocks, a short bilingual announcement to all bears in the Lomason Valley, the picturesque fortress village of Calvolo, wonderful views of the Castelo di Tenno and the ever-widening Lake Garda, the equally impressive and well-visited Varone waterfall, a homemade tour loop from Varone to Riva del Garda via Foci, the abandoned chapel of Santa Maria Maddalena, the old fortress and by panoramic cable car to the historic old town of Riva del Garda, which is well worth seeing... On the way back at the train station in Bolzano, you can take a quick look at the wonderful hiking trip! We would also like to thank all the local bears and crowds of tourists for giving the hiking socks a wide berth :) Stage 6: From the Lomason Valley to Riva del Garda.
