#Hiking, South Tyrol, #Trentino, #Crossing the Alps from #Merano to Lake Garda (6 stages, approx. 110 km of hiking, 2 bus transfers in between, the tour largely follows the GPX route suggestions of the tour operator EuroHike, but supplemented by small but fine hiking sock detours:), Stage 5: Circular route from Molveno through the #Brenta Dolomites (approx. 15 km / +900 m, -400 m / with detour to the Napoleonic fortress, approx. 20 km)... On their fifth stage of the long-distance hiking trail to #Lake Garda, which allows itself an extra loop through the fascinating Brenta Dolomites in Molveno, the hiking sock hikers experience wonderful views of the sometimes over 3000m high, wildly jagged summit towers of the Brenta Group and the picturesque Lake Molveno, which was created by a landslide around 3000 years ago, wonderful and partly rope-secured paths in a magnificent mountain backdrop, which require surefootedness and in places a head for heights, three very differently managed but all recommendable huts (Rifugio Croz Altissimo, Rifugio Selvata and Rifugio Malga Andalo), a bridge probably destroyed by a landslide, which resulted in a rather adventurous stream crossing, a pretty waterfall, a spontaneous detour to the Napoleonic fortress near the Cima del Doss with a view of the idyllic Lago di Nembia and a final shore passage at the crystal-clear Lake Molveno...
