XXXIII ORDINARY SUNDAY (B/_ABC) (p. 532) First reading. Dan 12:1-3. Your people will be saved at that time A reading from the book of the prophet Daniel At that time Michael, the mighty great one, the guardian of your people, will appear. There will come a time of trouble such as has never been seen since the beginning of nations. But at that time your people will be saved, all who are found written in the book. Many who sleep in the dust of the earth will awake, some to eternal life, some to shame and eternal dishonor. The wise will shine with the brightness of the firmament, and those who lead many to righteousness will be like the stars forever and ever. It is the word of God. Responsorial Psalm. Ps 15 (16), 5 and 8. 9-10. 11 (P.: 1) P. Protect me, O God, I seek refuge in you. Lord, you are my portion and my cup, * in your hand is my fate. The Lord is always in my eyes, - * as long as he is at my right hand, I will not tremble. - P. Because of this my heart is joyful, † my whole life rejoices * and my body rests in peace. Hebrews 10:11-14. 18 With the only offering, he made perfect sanctified ones forever Reading from the Epistle to the Jews Every priest stands up to serve every day and offers the same sacrifices many times, which can never take away sins. And this one, who offered the only sacrifice for sins, sat down at the right hand of God forever, waiting for his enemies to be put as a footstool under his feet. Then people will see the Son of Man coming in the clouds with great power and glory. He will send angels, and they will gather his elect from all four countries, from the ends of the earth to the ends of the heavens. Learn from the parable of the fig tree: when its branch softens and its leaves burst, you know summer is coming. Also, when you see it laying down, understand that it is already close, at the threshold. Truly I say to you, this generation will not pass away until all these things take place. Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away. But of that day or that hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father.” This is the word of the Lord.
