When talking about Sriracha, the first thing that many people think of is probably Sriracha sauce or Sriracha pineapple, a famous food with the name of this city at the end. But what about the past of this famous city? In the past, Sriracha was considered another important forest concession area in the eastern region. With the abundance of forests with various types of wood, it was known as "Krayalai forest". This abundance resulted in Chao Phraya Surasakmontri borrowing money from the royal treasury to invest in a small sawmill during 1898-1907. And from that starting point, many changes were created until this small city grew through time, from the forest to the present-day Sriracha.
