Almost every hectare of land in Lozovik is exemplary and planted with some culture. Thousands of tons of food are delivered annually by the people of Lozovica to the Serbian market because all the farmers from this village are involved in the wholesale production of vegetables, grains and fruits. I cultivate about 400 hectares of land with my two friends and my family. We sow corn, wheat, oilseed rape and sunflower and all feed for cattle, and we have about 150 heads, we provide for ourselves, while we sell the market surplus, says Rade Bogdanović, who annually produces hundreds of tons of grain and about half a million liters of milk. The largest number of people from Lozovik are engaged in vegetable growing, and several of them have greenhouse production measured in hectares. Unlike the majority of Lozovič residents who are engaged in the production of vegetables, Petar Matković opted for fruit growing. On his plantations, he has about 4,000 walnut trees, 2,500 quince trees and a hectare of vineyards. Lozovik is a village of young people and young householders who already between the ages of 25 and 30 take care of the entire household. Every fourth inhabitant of Lozovik is younger than 25 years old, and Lozovik is a village with close to 4,500 people. Almost everything they have, the people of Lozovici have built themselves, without the help of the state, mostly with self-contributions; asphalt roads, a cultural center with 500 seats, a post office with two telephone exchanges, six residential and commercial buildings, an elementary school, playgrounds for children, Atar roads, etc. In 2019, Lozovik was declared the best village in Serbia. At one time, this village was called the village of astronauts because almost all Soviet cosmonauts, from Titov to Sevastianov, came to it. Lozovik had its own planetarium and astronaut club founded by Professor Radovan Marković, who revealed the secrets of the universe to the children of Lozovik and for whom Soviet cosmonauts came to Lozovik. Lozovik had a successful handball club and an international handball tournament attended by the most famous clubs from Serbia, Partizan and Crvena Zvezda, as well as handball players from Barcelona and CSK from Moscow. Lozovik is one of the few villages in Serbia that still has an active hippodrome and an equestrian club with about 30 trotting horses.
