Precision seeders of the SPP brand, manufactured in Russia, are an improved analogue of the well-known Romanian seeders SPCh. SPP seeders are designed for sowing crops such as: corn, sunflower, beet, soybean, chickpea, rapeseed, sorghum, cotton, peas, castor oil plant, pumpkin, watermelon, cucumber, tomato, carrot and other row crops. Simultaneously with sowing seeds into the soil, it is possible to apply mineral fertilizers by means of a device that allows dosing the rate of fertilizer consumption. SPP seeders of Russian assembly have absorbed all the best features of the Romanian SPCh seeders, while the design of the seeders has been modified to adapt to the harsh operating conditions typical for Russia: 1. The grain and fertilizer coulter are made of steel-35 with a thickness of 3.5 mm (previously steel-20, 2.0 mm was used.). Due to the design change, the service life of the fertilizer coulter has been significantly increased. 2. To prevent the drive chain casing from wearing out on the soil, a protection in the form of a support "ski" made of the same metal as the grain coulter has been installed underneath it. 3. A mechanism has been installed to protect against the chain falling off the drive gear of the pressing wheel when reversing with the coulters lowered. A reinforced drive chain has been installed. 4. In the seeding sections, the plastic bushings have been replaced with closed-type rolling bearings: on the shaft of the distribution disc and on the axle of the pressing wheel. Replacing the bushings with bearings allows to significantly increase the accuracy of seeding and the service life of the seeder. 5. Due to the change in the shape of the landing hole of the seeding disc, 100% alignment of the distribution shaft with the seeding disc has been achieved, which has a positive effect on the accuracy of seeding and the productivity of the seeder, since it is possible to sow at a higher speed. 6. The marker lifting mechanism has two separately installed lifting hydraulic cylinders, one for the left and one for the right marker, instead of one common one. 7. The sheet steel from which the seed and fertilizer tanks are made is thicker (1.2 mm instead of 1.0 mm). 8. The seeder is equipped with a vacuum gauge and a vacuum regulator, which allows you to adjust the vacuum depending on the crop and seed size. 9. The impeller of the vacuum pump is ideally balanced and has a two-fold lower moment of inertia with higher productivity, which significantly increases the service life of the entire pump. 10. In the absence of a vacuum, a gap of 0.5 mm is maintained between the low-pressure chamber and the seeding disk, which leads to a significant reduction in the wear of the cast-iron chamber and the seeding disk. 11. The seeder's power elements are made of high-strength steel grades: frame - steel-10, seeding section side members - steel-35, coulters - steel-35, drive sprockets and shafts - steel-45. 12. The seeder's vacuum lines are made of polyethylene, which is not destroyed by sunlight. 13. The protector of the pressing wheel has a characteristic concavity along the entire circumference, such a feature of the protector promotes uniform compaction of the soil above the seeds and, as a result, increases the germination of plants, in addition, dirt practically does not stick to such a protector and the seeders are able to work in wet weather.
