This permeability between companies and society raises a certain number of questions. How do companies concretely take part in today's social, societal and environmental issues? Is their involvement increasing and is it a sign of the gradual decline of the State in certain areas of general interest? What are the motivations of companies involved in these processes? What are the challenges for the future? What are the differences between CSR and patronage? The Fondation de France, the leading philanthropy network in France and a major player in private engagement, will present the history and challenges of patronage, which began its growth in France in the 1990s and is now a real issue in corporate strategies, alongside CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility).
