On October 29, 2013, a ceremonial session of the Jagiellonian University Senate was held in the Collegium Maius auditorium to celebrate the renewal of the doctorate after fifty years of Professor Jerzy Wyrozumski, a historian and expert in the Middle Ages and the history of Kraków. The hero of Tuesday's ceremony said, among other things, that he began his studies during the period of the greatest ideological pressure on universities. He recalled that when the authorities ordered nationwide mourning in 1953 after the death of Joseph Stalin, classes began with a minute of silence. ✦✦✦ Find out more about the Jagiellonian University ✦✦✦ *Homepage: http://www.uj.edu.pl *Instagram: / jagiellonian_university *Facebook: / jagiellonian.university
