Spark Plug Cleaning - Special for my subscribers and anyone else who is interested. In this video lesson I demonstrate that it is possible to clean a spark plug, eliminating carbonization and recovering it for use. This procedure is performed with a product called CAR-80, which is a decarbonizer, used to clean injectors and carburetors. But it can also be used to help clean automotive and motorcycle spark plugs, to eliminate internal and external carbonization of the plugs. However, this procedure is only possible if the spark plugs are free of external anomalies and have resistivity according to the manufacturer's application chart. I demonstrate how to measure the resistivity of the plug using a multimeter on the ohm scale, 20 K ohms. I do this procedure here in the garage on my cars and those of clients, and I always get excellent results. That is why I decided to share this tip with my subscribers. Download or request the application chart from the manufacturer NGK. You will get all the information you need, including a table specifying the spacing of the spark plug's side and center electrodes, to adjust the gap according to the car's model and year. At the end of the video, I scanned the main information regarding spark plugs. NGK also provides this application chart for motorcycles. Remember: Always keep your car or motorcycle engine tuned, so you can enjoy maximum engine power and save fuel. Watch the video until the end and see the procedures adopted. If you have any questions, let's talk here. A big hug to everyone. God bless you. Prof. Silvio Luis Figueiredo - Garage Mechanics - 03/26/2018.
