How to ask about mental health and how to talk to people who suffer from mental discomfort or an acute mental crisis? You will find out in the next episode of our STUDIO DUŠE podcast, the further implementation of which you can support at www.darujme.cz/studioduse. "If we want to have relationships with people as people, and not as things, then we must be interested in , what is going on in them, how they are, what they are experiencing," says clinical psychologist, psychotherapist and general director of Fokus Praha Petr Hudlička at the beginning of the program. According to him, it is crucial that our interest in others be authentic, accompanied by empathy and the realization that each person needs something a little different. This is also confirmed by Andrej Kos, a member of the Crisis Team of Fokus Praha. Andrej explains what crisis intervention looks like, what the offered support consists of and what is most important when communicating with a person who is in an acute psychological crisis. He will also familiarize us with the operation of the anti-crisis chat, which is available from the home page of the Fokus Praha website. In the podcast, you will also hear the observations of Jana Krejčí, a peer consultant from the free-time and self-help club Mosty, who, thanks to her own experience with mental illness, tried both roles - the role of a person who needed help from others, and the one who now listens to people with similar difficulties and tries to to support them. The Kladno meeting group for parents and loved ones of people with mental illness is also about listening and sharing experiences, emotions and experiences. Social worker Jaroslava Skučková and psychologist Monika Štarková from the Kladno Community Team talk about how to communicate with these people, who are usually connected by loneliness, hopelessness, and feelings of guilt. The second episode of the podcast STUDIO DUŠE Fokus Praha about mental health and mental illnesses was prepared by Magdalena Trusinová.
