Our latest generation sorting center allows us to respond to and support the proactive approach of local authorities in terms of waste prevention and recovery. By opening a sorting center in 1997, Séché Éco-Industries provides the region with a technical solution for managing this packaging waste. Whether produced by households or from an economic activity, this waste contains resources that the site recovers so that they can be reused in place of raw materials: they become secondary raw materials directed towards recycling channels. Once sorted, the materials are packaged in the form of bales and transported to industrial recyclers. Elements with high energy potential are extracted from the sorting rejects and thus recovered in the manufacture of Solid Recovery Fuel (SRF). The SRF is used at the Environment Center in a specially adapted furnace-boiler to produce a new energy resource.
