Luis Miguel Cano, Attorney at PODER (Project on Organization, Development, Education and Research), talks with Témoris Grecko about the case of the Sonora River and the violation of human rights caused by the spill of 40 thousand meters of acidulated copper sulphate in the Tinajas stream, in the municipality of Cananea in Sonora, on August 6, 2014. This caused illness in the population as well as the death of several animals and the destruction of the Molinito and Avelardo L. Rodríguez dams. All of this was caused by the Buenavista del Cobre Mining Company of Grupo México of Germán Larrea. Five years after this event, there has been no reparation by Grupo México or the Government. #Diametral http://tv.unam.mx
