About :

Songs of Orisha Exu (Candomblé) - Compiled 1h30 with Lyrics and Translated Oriki, in the Ketu nation. Exu (Èsù) is a Yoruba deity, who holds within himself multiple and contradictory aspects. The first and most important would be that of Messenger between men and gods. He is a mischievous, playful, irascible orisha, created by Olodumaré to be indulgent, that is, he has no notion of what is right or wrong. Therefore, he likes to play pranks, create disputes, arguments, fights, accidents, calamities. For this reason, he must always be the first orisha to be pleased and to receive propitiatory offerings, so that his negative power is neutralized and prevents him from causing misunderstandings between men and other gods. Exu, however, has his positive side: if properly graced, he is helpful, shows himself to be of service, and fulfills wishes and requests. He is the Lord of the Paths (Olonã): he lives on roads, crossroads, and doorsteps. Although unpredictable and dangerous, when treated correctly he can become the Guardian of homes, temples, markets, and businesses. His main symbols are the red Yangi stone (laterite) and the trident, a syncretic element due to its association with the Christian devil, originating from the first missionaries sent to Africa to convert the natives and who, upon noticing his images of gross and sexual aspects, immediately identified him with the devil. Exu always carries the Ogó, a magical club with a phallic shape (penis) that represents his power over fertility. All human beings have a part of Exu: it is this that brings us the primordial instincts of defense, shelter, food, and sex. Exu is the representation of the masculine element, and for this reason the penis is almost always present in his objects of worship, in a veiled or explicit way, evidencing his association with sex and procreation. It also has a strong association with the fire element, being worshipped in this aspect as Inã, in the ceremony held before the Candomblé festivals, the Ipadê. 00:14:15 Exu Onan Moxirê Lode Elebará - Exu Bará Iloré - Keuatirê Lebaô Keautirê Lonan 07 00:16:13 Azikire Ni Vodun - Ê Madun Leba ô - Elebara Vodun Azakere Kerê 08 00:20:34 Xô Xô Obé Odaba Kolô Biejó 09 00:23:08 Ibarabô ê Mojubá - Bara Unbebê Tiriri Lonan - Exu Ajuô Maman Keô Odara 10 00:26:48 Xô Xô Obé Odara Korô Niejó - Laroiê Agongorongó 11 00:28:15 Xô Lebara Vodun Azakere Kerê 12 00:30:43 Exu Ajuô Maman Keô Odara 13 00:32:39 Azikiri ê ô Vodun Vodun Cabri Cabri - Elegbara Vodun Azakere Kerê 14 00:34:44 Orisá Patá Agô Nilê - Baralojiki Exu Lobiuá Araê - A Mojulebara 15 00:38:18 Ibarabô ê Mojubá - Bara Unbebê Tiriri Lonan 16 00:41:07 Exu o Lonan Moforunbalé 17 00:43:58 Ibarabô ê Mojubará - Bara Unbebê Tiriri Lonan - Xô Xô Obé Odaba Kolo Niejó - Laroiê Ongorongó 18 00:47:19 Ibarabô Agô Mojubará - Bara Unbebê Tiriri Lonan - Elegbará Ungongorongó - Iná Iné Mojubá ê - Baralojiki Exu Lobeuá Araê - Xô Xô Obé Adaba Koro Niejó 19 00:52:30 Bará Keturê Ketu Bará Exu Aunló 20 00:53:17 Iná Iná Mojubá is 21 00:55:44 Odara Pá Le Sobá Ojixepá Lefun Á 22 00:56:58 Alê Massá Baissá 23 00:59:42 Alaketu Alaketu Bará Exu Maló 24 01:02:29 Ibarabô ê Mojubá - Bara Unbebê Tiriri Lonan - Exu Ajuô Maman Keô Odara 25 01:07:28 Imarabô Ê Mojubá Legba Koxé - Bará Unbebê Tiriri Lonan - Baralajiki Exu Lobeuá - Okê Okê Odará - Exu Olonã Moforibalé 26 01:12:57 Exu Ajuá Maman Kenhô Odará - Bará Leuá Legbará - Bara Loxorô - Xonxô Obé Odara Koloriejó - Laroiê Aungó é Aungó 27 01:16:37 Iná Iná Mojubá is 28 01:17:29 Bará Jauntan Bará Ilê Bará Jauntan Bará Oló 29 01:18:03 Ibarabô Mojubá Ebakoxé - Bara Ubebê Tiriri Lonan - Xô Xô Obé Adaba Koloriejó - Exu Lobiuá Oyá Lelê - Bará Jabotan Bará Unló 30 01:21:54 Vassi 31 01:24:35 Toque Adabi Agabi 32 01:25:40 Oriki NOTICE The Cantigas e Ritmos Ketu channel and its creator do not own any copyright or intellectual property rights over the songs, works of art and other audio-visual materials presented in this video.
