I went on a solo trip to Miyazaki from downtown Tokyo by plane, train and bus! This is a continuation of my solo trip to Kumamoto! I rented an electric bicycle at Takachiho Bus Center and visited Takachiho Shrine and Takachiho Gorge! For lunch, I went to a popular restaurant that serves original nagashi somen noodles. After about 3 hours of sightseeing, I got back on the bus and headed to Nobeoka. I checked into a hotel with a great view along the river and went to the sushi restaurant I had reserved. The sushi made by the young chef was exquisite and surprisingly reasonable. After that, I went to a long-established gyoza specialty restaurant that only those in the know know about. It was a great experience, including the background music in the restaurant. Finally, I went to a long-established izakaya restaurant right next to Nobeoka Station. I had fresh raw mackerel with Miyazaki shochu. The staff were all friendly and fun, and I drank too much! Lol The next day, despite having a slight hangover, I went to a set meal restaurant that opens at 9am. I had a blissful time with bottled beer and ham and eggs. Then I went to the original chicken nanban restaurant, which is probably the most famous in Nobeoka. The batter is indescribable... I'm really glad I went to eat it. After that, I took the train to Miyazaki Station to head to "Hinata Fes 2024". On my last night alone, I went to Machizushi, which is open until 2am. It was a wonderful restaurant loved by locals. After that, I met up with friends who were also attending "Hinata Fes 2024". Since it was no longer a "solo trip," the following videos are just a bonus (but they are quite long), and I edited them quickly. I'm going to take a look at "Hinata Fes 2024," check out Miyazaki's famous tourist spots, and try Nichinan's specialty dishes.
