Solenne Huet is the artist who created this monumental sculpture. Solenne Huet was born in Agen but spent her youth in Foulayronnes where she went to school and then began her classical studies at the Palissy high school in Agen. Very early on, during a work experience placement with a basket maker at the age of 14, she became interested in manual trades, and it was in her second year of high school that she decided to pursue a technical course in order to satisfy her passion for creating objects and art. During her studies, she discovered artistic ironwork with Yvan Saramon, an ironworker based in Artigues, in the town of Pont-du-Casse. After a week, won over, she decided that this would be her career. "A real professional crush!", she says. On the advice of her mentor, she went to the vocational high school in Uzès, in the Gard, where after two years of training, she obtained her CAP in artistic ironwork. Joining the Lot-et-Garonne, after a few months in an ironwork company, she took over, at the age of 21, the workshop of Yvan Saramon, who had tragically passed away. She created her first sculptures and ironwork pieces (gates, staircases, railings, pergolas, etc.) which she made to measure and exhibited in regional and national fairs.
