Słubice (until 1945 German Frankfurt (Oder)-Dammvorstadt) - a city in the Lubusz Voivodeship, the seat of the Słubice district and the urban-rural commune of Słubice, within the Lubuskie Gory Oder, on the Oder river. According to data from the Central Statistical Office from December 31, 2019, Słubice had 16,644 inhabitants. Together with Frankfurt (Oder), of which it was part until 1945, it forms a cross-border agglomeration with approx. 80 thousand inhabitants. It is an academic center - the seat of the Collegium Polonicum. There is a historic SOSiR stadium and other tourist attractions, including a Jewish cemetery - one of the oldest in Europe, the first mention of it comes from 1399, architectural monuments, a bicycle path on the Odra Promenade, tourist trails, a nature reserve and many others.
