The rock castle is located on the southwestern edge of the village of Sloup in Bohemia. The castle is protected as a cultural monument. Unfortunately, only the remains of the castle, which was once carved into the rock, remain today. The rock block was already inhabited in prehistoric times, which is evidenced by older archaeological findings from the castle premises. The castle itself was probably built at the beginning of the 14th century. On the contrary, the end of this castle was brought about by the 30-year war already in 1639. Between these years, spaces were created that were both created on the surface of the rock and carved directly into the rock. Fairy tales were also filmed at the castle, such as, for example, there are no jokes with Devils. In the video, we will also show the stairs that Petr Máchal and the devil Janek used to descend into the interior of the rock.
