Congregational singing of the song 'Silent Night' during the Christmas concert of the Reformed Church Choir Kampen on December 14, 2024 in the Burgwal Church in Kampen. For me personally, this was a special concert, as it was the first choir evening in which I was involved as an organist. My thanks therefore go to the board of the HKK who approached me for this, and to Arjen Schoonhoven who was my registrar that evening. 1 Silent night, holy night. David's Son, long expected, Who will bless millions once, is born in Bethlehem's stable. He, Lord of creatures He, Lord of creatures. 2 Helpless Child, holy Child, Who so faithfully loves sinners. For me too, You have denied riches, You are laid on straw and in swaddling clothes. Teach me to thank You for that Teach me to thank You for that. 3 Silent night, holy night, Peace and salvation are brought to a world lost in guilt. God's promise is gloriously fulfilled. Amen! To God be the glory Amen! To God be the glory.
