There are things like the rear tent, the original ventilation grille from the VW Caddy, a windbreak for the gas cooker or the work surface for cooking, curtains that you sew yourself or thermal mats with suction cups or magnets. There are many black-out options. The only important thing is that the windows shouldn't let any light through and it shouldn't be possible to see into the vehicle from outside. The question now is how much should it cost and what is possible in my camper van and how should I do it myself. Regarding the 4 things that I consider to be essential accessories for camping, I can say that the original is often good but expensive. Homemade is usually much cheaper and sometimes better in use too, but everyone must and should decide for themselves. Anyone who has built a camper van, mini camper, micro camper, DIY or whatever knows that it is often difficult and laborious to decide how to do something and what is best suited to the task.
