The province of Ourense offers us a multitude of trails to explore and this week Juanjo Pardo has chosen two very different ones. The first is in the Ribeira Sacra, known as the Sil-Santa Cristina Canyon, an 18-kilometre route that combines lush chestnut forests with clearings next to the river. A place with privileged views from where you can admire vineyards that are dizzying, as the terrain reaches an incline of up to 75 percent. The route passes in front of the Monastery of Santa Cristina, next to a chestnut tree that is more than 700 years old, and crosses the town of Parada de Sil. The second route is very close to Portugal, in the Baixa Limia region. Leaving the village of Puxedo, Juanjo walks along the Ruta do Foxo do Lobo. A path between rocks that leads him to a trap to hunt an animal that for centuries was a headache for shepherds. The route ends in another village, A Cela, where huge spherical rocks are embedded in some of the houses. 80cm #La2 #Hiking All programs at ???? https://www.rtve.es/alacarta/videos/8...
