The castle terraces were officially opened on October 25, 2021. The redesign of the area in front of the castle terraces began in April 2016. In several construction phases, Amtsberg, bastion, gardens, cellars and paths were redesigned and have become a real eye-catcher. The terraces are a lively connecting axis between the campus of the State Academy of Studies, the city center, the old town, the Syra and the White Elster. The project was initiated as a contribution to the "Ab in die Mitte" competition in 2011. http://www.plauen.de/schlossterrassen
