This week I have Els Visser in the podcast! She survived a shipwreck, swam for 8 hours to save herself, drank urine to survive on a deserted island and then wanted to become a professional triathlete instead of a surgeon. Els tells very openly about what the cold night was like on the open water, the hellish swim and surviving with a fellow sufferer on the island. After 2 days they are rescued and in the Netherlands she realizes whether she should not take a different path. She starts with triathlons and quickly becomes the best triathlete in the Netherlands. The body is capable of much more than we think. Everyone has their own story.
