SHEPHERD NEĐA WITH 180 SHEEP WAS OVERWHELMED BY A SNOWBLADE ON SITNICA - We managed to reach Neđa Gajić in the village of Cikelj near Sitnica on Manjača through a narrow road in deep snow that in some places exceeds 2 m in height. We find him in the sheepfold feeding a lamb and he tells us that in his years he has never remembered such a winter. He says that if the snow had continued to fall for another day, nothing would have remained of the stables and sheepfold and he could have given up on everything. There has been no electricity since Monday and heavy machinery has not been able to make its way to his house.
