After getting off the bus, Cinthia was arrested, and when she asked the reason for her arrest, the police told her that they had found illegal substances in her belongings. Still not believing what was happening, Cinthia was taken to the Public Prosecutor's Office, where she was not given the opportunity to inform her family of what was happening, as third parties had to be in charge of informing them of the events. The student was imprisoned for more than a month in the Papantla Social Rehabilitation Center and was released on parole with a precautionary measure that required her to sign in every month. But her ordeal did not end there. As the days went by, Cinthia began to notice that the same patrol that arrested her that day began to follow her everywhere. According to what the young woman said, the harassment by the officers was so great that she began to take shelter in her house and avoid going out on the street. As the days went by and seeing that the situation was not improving, Cinthia decided to go to the Prosecutor's Office to file a complaint for the harassment she felt from four police officers.
