Katharina (24) manages the household of a retirement home in her job. Washing, cooking, cleaning: But she doesn't do that herself. As deputy housekeeping manager, she is the interface to the caretakers, the laundry and the nursing staff. She works 39 hours a week, assigning tasks and organizing things to keep things running smoothly. Her goal: the 300 residents should feel comfortable and find a nice home in the retirement home. Katharina therefore pays close attention to the ambience in the house. The rooms and hallways should be tidy, the laundry clean, the flowers fresh. She did the further training to become a business economist because she wanted a management position. But the great responsibility is not reflected in her salary. In her job, she says, she is motivated by working with people, not the money. #housekeeper #documentary #salary This is "Is it worth it?": One person, one job, one life. And at the end of the day, the question: Is it worth it? We accompany people in their jobs and show their lives. Is it worth it to work for a salary and use it to finance your own life? What makes me happy at work? We don't just compare salaries, we show how people live from their work. We are always looking for protagonists: If you also want to show how you live with your job, you are welcome to write to [email protected]! On a personal note: We are not infallible either - and although we make every effort to present every individual financial situation clearly, correctly and understandably, we sometimes need help. The Bavarian State Association of Tax Advisory and Auditing Professions e. V. always provides us with competent support in this - thank you very much for that!
