Folder structures on file servers have often grown over time and are not very flexible. The alternative to folders are document libraries with metadata. The files can then be filtered, grouped and searched according to metadata. Specific views can also be created for the needs of individual clerks. In the video I show a use case from contract management in human resources. Different contract types are linked to document templates via content types and connected to specific metadata. The tags for indexing are managed centrally in the so-called terminology store or term store. The content types are also maintained centrally in the SharePoint Admin Center. These points are also briefly presented in the video. As shown, metadata can also be used directly in the Files tab of Microsoft Teams. 00:00 Intro 01:29 Metadata Demo Contract Management 11:58 Walkthrough Terminology Store and Content Types 19:58 Conclusion
