While his father was in prison, his mother left Abidin. Abidin, who was very affected by the feeling of abandonment, lost his trust in people. In order not to be abandoned again, he was always the one who left for the rest of his life. The other master actor Şevket Altuğ plays the character of Mahmut. Mahmut stayed in foster homes until he was 14. Mahmut is an introverted, isolated from the outside world, honest and helpful character. The paths of these two characters, who are resentful of life, somehow cross and they decide to continue their struggle in life together. These two characters, who have never smiled in their lives, start working as a duo comedian in a nightclub in the back streets of Istanbul. For these reasons, they are fired by their bosses, but are called back to work again with a lower daily wage because of their debts to their bosses. We see in the movie that the political and economic problems of the period are also expressed in the jokes that Abidin and Mahmut make. One day, a beautiful woman is brought to work at the nightclub, but she is deaf and mute. The boss of the nightclub thinks that this deaf and mute woman is useless and fires her from the nightclub. This girl, who has no one, has nowhere to go. Mahmut wants to help this girl by finding her family. In the meantime, he invites her to their home as a guest. However, Abidin, who thinks that this girl will be a hindrance for them while their financial difficulties continue, opposes this invitation. However, Abidin cannot persuade his friend Mahmut and is convinced to host the girl in their home. As their financial difficulties increase even more, Abidin and Mahmut ask the boss they work for at the nightclub to give Kumru a job. The boss gives Kumru the job of looking after the toilet because she is deaf and mute. The days pass. Abidin and Mahmut try to both find Kumru's family and get her hearing problem treated. In the hospital they go to, the doctors say that it is not possible to cure Kumru's speech and hearing problems. Even though she does not have the ability to hear, Kumru perceives this negativity. There are men who are obsessed with Kumru both in the nightclub and in the environments where they go to work. In every case, Mahmut fights with the men who are obsessed with Kumru. These fights also cause problems in their work and their financial problems gradually deteriorate. At the end of this process, they are thrown out of the house they are renting and start living on the street for a while. Although they ask their boss to stay in the nightclub, at first the boss does not accept this situation, but later they are allowed to stay in the nightclub. Abidin and Mahmut, who want to solve their money problem, think of robbing a bank and a jeweler, but they do not dare to do it because of Mahmut's timidity. When they need money, Kumru suddenly finds a lot of cash on her. Abidin is very angry about this situation. Abidin is very angry that Kumru hides money like this in difficult times. He takes the money from Kumru by force. However, Mahmut gets angry at the money being taken in this way and punches his best friend in the face. The punch he throws wounds Abidin in the heart and he leaves his friend. There is a separation here for a short time. This separation affects Abidin the most. Abidin finds an incompetent comedian like himself and starts working with him. However, he cannot enjoy his work. He tells his new partner that they are unsuccessful and that he and his previous partner Mahmut were a better duo. After his mother, he cannot digest the blow he received from his friend Mahmut, commits suicide and is taken to the hospital. Mahmut and Kumru, who receive the news of his suicide, visit Abidin in the hospital. Mahmut asks his best friend why he did this and tells him not to do it again and apologizes. Abidin is already ready to forgive his friend and they make up with this excuse. Here, Abidin gains a different character. That opportunist, liar, cheater Abidin leaves and is replaced by an honest, helpful Abidin. The two reunite and find Kumru's mother in prison and bring Kumru and her together. Kumru gives the money that caused the two to fight to her mother. When they wake up the next day, Kumru is not with them. They ask everyone in the nightclub about Kumru, but everyone in the nightclub gets answers as if no one named Kumru has ever come to the nightclub and there is no such person here. The others do not see the Kumru that they see in the photos they took. The duo, who cannot understand this situation, go straight to the prison. They ask about Kumru's mother Zeliha, whom they visited the day before, and the answer they get is more interesting. Because they learn that she is not like that in prison. In fact, they visited Zeliha the
