Alexander Mayer, who comes from a small but vocation-rich village in Austria (3 vocations in the last 10 years), already knew as a child: I want to be a priest! The inspiring young man discovered his way to the traditional rite, which draws on the norms of the liturgical books of 1962, through his love of the Byzantine rite. Immediately after graduating from high school, he joined the Priestly Fraternity of St. Peter. In conversation with Athinea Andryszczak, he talks about the seminary in Wigratzbad and provides insight into the community's special features such as the cassock, minor orders and Latin as a liturgical language.
