During the Second World War, between December 1941 and November 1943, i.e. within 23 months, seven sons of the Vilshofen Voggenreiter family were killed in the East, five of them between April and November 1943 alone. This search for clues attempts to clarify the individual fates. Since four graves have not yet been found, the video shows the entries on the dog tags. Perhaps chance will help to clarify one of these fates. For their help in researching this video, which began in November 2017, I would like to thank: Mr. Alois Voggenreiter and his sister Ms. Anneliese Thierfelder, who also provided the pictures of their uncles during the interview on March 26, 2018, as well as Ms. Irmgard Heringlehner, the German War Graves Commission, Kassel, the Catholic parish office in Vilshofen and especially the Federal Archives as the successor to the German Department/Wehrmacht Information Office, Berlin. 92 images in the video come from Wikipedia in various countries. Due to the volume, the sources cannot be published here. A list can be requested.
