July 10, 2024 Due to heavy rain, the Sunrise Izumo departed about 30 minutes late and also operated at a slower pace on the Hakubi Line, causing significant delays. It arrived at Okayama Station just after 1:00 a.m. and Osaka Station just after 4:00 a.m. After long stops at Himeji Station and Osaka Station, the service was terminated at Shin-Osaka Station at 5:20 a.m. From Shin-Osaka Station, a Shinkansen transfer was made. Although the Sunrise was delayed by up to 5 hours from the scheduled time, by using the Shinkansen, it was able to arrive at Tokyo Station 75 minutes later than originally planned. This day marked the 26th anniversary of the launch of the Sunrise. We are grateful to the people involved who operated the service in the heavy rain and arranged for the transfer. 1:22 Announcement after departure1:58 Stops at Kishimoto Station2:15 Stops at Hoki-Mizoguchi Station2:32 Announcement announcing a delay2:37 Stops at Eo Station4:00 Stops at Neu Station4:38 Stops at Bitchu-Takahashi Station4:54 Stops at Bitchu-Hirose Station5:01 Stops at Kurashiki Station5:11 Stops at Okayama Station6:04 Connects with Sunrise Seto6:26 Stops at Himeji Station6:53 Stops at Sannomiya Station7:09 Electronic display announcing service termination7:57 Stops at Osaka Station8:35 Good morning announcement (termination announcement)9:47 Announcement in English11:54 Departs Osaka Station13:50 Arrives at Shin-Osaka Station15:08 Queue to collect tickets for the replacement train15:38 Ticket gates open16:44 Business notice and tickets17:58 Arrives at Tokyo Station
