We invite you to listen to the radio play "Serpentina" (original title: "Die Kurve") by Tankred Dorst, set in an isolated hut at the foot of a steep cliff, where the brothers Rudolf and Anton lead an unusual existence. Living in the middle of a makeshift cemetery, eulogy writer Anton and self-taught auto mechanic Rudolf often have fatal accidents on the nearby dangerous serpentine bend. One day, their lives are interrupted by the car crash of a government official, Dr. Erich Kriegbaum, who comes to the area to discuss even the petitions written by Anton to secure the road. Synopsis: When Kriegbaum, seriously injured but still alive, proposes to the brothers a project to rehabilitate the serpentine, they react surprisingly. Anton is not at all impressed by the promises and decides that the unannounced visitor must not leave the place alive. The dark plans of the brothers come to light, and the situation takes an unexpected turn, in which dark humor and tragedy intertwine. The play "Serpentina" by Tankred Dorst falls into the category of contemporary dramas with elements of black comedy and social satire. It combines tragic and comic aspects, reflecting on bureaucratic indifference and interpersonal relations in a context of absurd humor. Why listen to "Serpentine"? ????
