St. Martini Parish Donation Account: Bank: NORD/LB IBAN: DE04 2505 0000 1070 1400 09 BIC: NOLADE2HXXX Thus said the Lord to me, Go and buy yourself a linen belt and put it on your loins, but do not let it get wet! So I bought a belt according to the Lord's commandment and put it on my loins. Then the word of the Lord came to me a second time, saying, Take the belt that you have bought and put on your loins, and arise, go to the Euphrates and hide it there in a cleft of the rock. I went and hid it by the Euphrates, as the LORD had commanded me. After a long time the LORD said to me, "Arise, go to the Euphrates and take the girdle that I had made you hide there." I went to the Euphrates and dug and took the girdle from the place where I had hidden it, and behold, the girdle was corrupted, so that it was no longer good for anything. And the word of the LORD came to me, saying, Thus says the LORD: In the same way will I destroy the great pride of Judah and Jerusalem, this evil people who will not listen to my words but walk in the stubbornness of their own heart and follow other gods to serve them and worship them; they shall be like the girdle that is no longer good for anything. For as the girdle is tied around a man's loins, so says the LORD, I have girded around me the whole house of Israel and the whole house of Judah, that they should be my people for my glory and my praise and my honor; but they would not listen.
