⛰️Hiking date: June 5th-6th (1 night at Socheong Shelter) ⛰️Hiking course: Day 1: Baekdamsa Temple - Yeongsiam - Suryeomdong Shelter - Ssangryong Falls - Bongjeongam - Socheong Shelter (1 night) (12.6 km, including 7 hours of rest, lunch, and photography) Day 2: Socheongbong Peak - Huiungak Shelter - Munemi Pass - Shinseondae - Gongryong Ridge - Madengryeong Intersection - Oseam - Yeongsiam - Baekdamsa Temple (15.3 km, approximately 12 hours 30 minutes, including rest, lunch, and photography) *Only beginners who have hiked regularly can do this. 🧙🏻♀️Since we will stay for one night at Socheong Shelter, we will leave Seoul at 6 am with the burden of burners, cookers, and meals and head to Baekdamsa Temple Parking Lot in Yongdae-ri. I parked at the Baekdamsa parking lot and took the bus. It was past 10 o'clock. I thought I could get to Bongjeongam by 2 o'clock and have lunch, so I diligently climbed up. The distance from Baekdamsa parking lot to Bongjeongam is about 10.5 km, and it is located at 1244 m above sea level, so you have to climb a lot. After passing the long Suryeomdong Valley and Gugokdam Valley, you can meet Bongjeongam at the end of Yongajangseong, which represents the rock ridge of Seoraksan Mountain. While feeling the cool breeze, dipping your hands in the green valley, and admiring the magnificent rock ridge of Seoraksan Mountain, you will find yourself climbing so high that you will wonder when you climbed up. Still, I was captivated by the beauty of Seoraksan Mountain and came all the way to Haetal Pass. Haetal Pass 500 m is the best. When you climb this pass, you will see Lion Rock, and this is where you can properly enjoy the ridge that goes up to Bongjeongam Naeseorak and Daecheong. Arriving at Bongjeongam, climbing the Sarira Pagoda and looking at the Jeokmyeolbogung, I wait to eat dinner even though I didn't get lunch. Dinner is at 5:30, so I have to wait more than an hour, so I decide to just go up to Socheong Shelter. The distance from Bongjeongam to Socheong Shelter is only 0.8km, but the slope is as steep as Haetal Pass, so it's very difficult to climb. On top of that, it's pouring rain, which makes people nervous. If you get rained on, it's a big deal. After climbing quickly and arriving at Socheong Shelter, I was assigned a room at 5 o'clock and the rain stopped when I left. I packed food in my backpack, bought rice at the shelter store, boiled ramen, and had a delicious dinner, and watched the sunset. The shelter is relatively comfortable and not very cold, so I can just wear a light padding without a sleeping bag. The next morning, at 4:30, I pack my backpack and climb to Socheongbong. I leave early to make sure my sister, who is going to go to Gongryong Ridge for the first time, finishes. I save energy by not going to Daecheong or Jungcheong. Just for the dinosaurs~~ I eat rice and ramen for breakfast at the Heungak Shelter, put one rice ball in my backpack as a packed lunch, and set off for Gongryong Ridge. Wait for the 5km Gongryong Ridge~~ I'm going. It's been so long that I don't even remember Gongryong Ridge, but it's much harder than I thought. When I walked the Jujak Dinosaur Ridge, I just went up and down 30 times, but the real Gongryong Ridge is really up~~~~~re~~~~~~, down~~~~~ri~~~~~~. I set off with an excited heart after seeing the Gongryong Ridge from Shinsendae, but the further I go, the more I go down.... I'm getting tired from the endless uphill climb. Still, I can't miss the best view that unfolds before me, no matter how hard it is~~ I play to my heart's content at places with a good view. I'm going to go down today!! As I went, I came across 1275 peak, Daesae peak, Nahan peak… Without thinking about the time, I took my time and played and before I knew it, I was at Madengryeong intersection… I came down from Oseam. I completed the Gongryong Ridge. I enjoyed the dinosaurs, but the road from Oseam to Yeongsiam and Baekdamsa was long and boring, so it was too hard. I don’t even remember when I last did the Gongryong Ridge, but I completed it so leisurely. 00:00 Intro 01:05 Departure for Baekdamsa Temple 01:21 From Baekdamsa Temple to Bongjeongam Temple~ 02:23 Yeongsiam Temple 03:59 Suryeomdong Shelter 05:00 Mansu Falls 06:16 Gwaneum Falls 07:51 Ssangyong Falls 09:29 Bongjeong Bridge 09:57 Haetal Pass 11:11 Lion Rock 12:06 Bongjeongam Temple 16:40 Socheong Shelter 18:00 Dinner from Socheong 20:00 Departure for Gongryong Ridge 20:26 Socheongbong Peak 21:43 Huiungak Shelter 23:41 Shinsendae 26:26 Fallen Wooden Gate 32:43 Candlestick Rock 34:12 1275 Peak Anbu 35:40 Kingkong Rock 37:57 Next to Keunsae Peak 39:34 Big Bird Peak View 41:00 The way up Nahan Peak 43:43 Madengryeong Intersection 45:29 Oseam 46:31 Yeongsiam 47:23 Baekdamsa Temple Entrance #Seoraksan #Dinosaur Ridge #Bongjeongam #Sochong Shelter #Socheongbong #trekking #Hiking #Jeokmyeolbogung #Sari Pagoda #Sinsendae #Northwest Ridge #Madengryeong #Huiungak Shelter #Seoraksan #Daecheongbong #National Park #Bongjeongam #SeoraksanDinosaur Ridge *Music is here~ https://artlist.io/royalty-free-music... *After-party restaurant: Sokcho Gomchi Soup
