On the air of Alpha News, Director of the Center for the Study of the Middle East and Central Asia Semyon Baghdasarov commented on the developments in the South Caucasus, noting that neither France nor the United States will transfer their troops to protect Armenia. "If a major war with Iran really breaks out in the Middle East, the value of the "Zangezur Corridor" will increase sharply and many interested countries will push the Armenian leadership to open it. And the Armenian leadership must be ready for this. It must develop its own vision in case this works, how to ensure that Armenia maintains its sovereignty in this territory, over the Syunik region," Baghdasarov emphasized. Touching on the security of Armenia, the expert noted that the Armenian authorities are not dealing with this issue and thus Pashinyan is exposing his people.
