Šemnická skála, which rises near Karlovy Vary above the Ohří River, is one of the few outcrops of the bellflower in the Doupovské Mountains. The inlet channel of this volcano was created on the marginal fault of the Oher Rift. In the first phase, a powerful stream of basalt lava was poured out. Subsequently, viscous bell-shaped lava was pushed to the surface, which solidified in the form of a volcanic needle. © Česká geologická služba Šemnice Rock, which rises above the Ohře River near Karlovy Vary, is one of the few phonolite outcrops in the Doupovské hory Mts. The vent of this volcano formed along a marginal fault of the Ohře Rift. Initially, a massive basaltic lava flow occurred. Subsequently, viscous phonolite lava was forced to the surface, solidifying in the form of a volcanic spine. © Czech geological survey Subscribe! https://www.youtube.com/user/Geologyc... Join in!
