In this video I make a plaster mold of a plastic toy dagger. I cast 2 daggers using solder. ======= Materials List ============= Plaster: simple modeling plaster from the hardware store. Metal: I use “LSN30” solder, which is used for soft soldering, for example. You can buy it at any hardware store. Any other solder works just as well - but is often more expensive. Hot metal can cause serious burns. Moisture will cause explosions when it comes into contact with hot metal. Lead is potentially toxic. Although lead and its oxides are practically impossible to absorb through the skin, you should avoid any type of dust or smoke that can be inhaled.
