Strong lighting is essential for driving at night, especially on a trip, as it provides comfort to the driver and safety to better see obstacles on the road. But headlights do not always illuminate as well as they should and there are several factors that prevent headlights from working properly. Today we will talk about one of these factors that is very common in cars that are 15 years old or more: weak wiring that is unable to send all the energy that the battery has to provide to the bulb. This problem is easily solved by installing a headlight power boost relay. This relay consists of a closed compartment with 2 internal relays and fuses already attached to it. This favors insulation against humidity, since it is most often installed in the engine compartment. Another thing that favors good energy flow is the connection system made with an eyelet terminal and screwed onto the external terminals of the relay, avoiding any chance of poor contact and oxidation of the wires. To install the relay, you need to identify the wires that go to the bulbs. Normally, the main wiring harness comes from the inside of the car on the driver's side, passes through the left-hand headlight and goes to the right-hand side. To make the installation easier, be more organized and avoid extra wires in the car, it is best to install the relay right behind the left-hand headlight, since the 4 high and low beam wires on both sides pass through there and are as close as possible to the bulbs. I recommend identifying a place to fix the relay near the main wiring harness, opening the insulation of this wiring harness and cutting the high and low beam wires right there. This way, it is possible to install the eyelet terminals without splices and without extra wires in the car. The relay will need power directly from the battery, this one uses a 4mm wire and will be an extra wire in the car, while the negative wire can be simplified with a small wire that goes only from the negative terminal of the relay to the screw that fixes the relay to the car's bodywork. After that, the relay will perform its function: it collects energy from the car's turn signal switch to activate the relay and puts the positive wire of the battery in contact directly with the wire that goes to the bulb, this is the trick to send as much energy as possible to the bulb. Now the car will have enough energy to light up in the best possible way. https://www.eunaupmotors.com.br/eletr...
