The pikeperch remains a mystery to many fishermen, some of whom only manage to catch it very occasionally, while others have a totally passionate relationship with it, devoting most of their fishing trips to it. This fish, which is very present in our waters and accessible to everyone in public waters, leaves no one indifferent. To lure it, fishermen know and practice, with varying degrees of success, a certain number of basic techniques that are sufficiently regular to catch it. Techniques such as dead-fishing or the pull that appeared in the 1980s and 90s, or vertical fishing and linear fishing that appeared later in the 2000s, which have seen great development in recent years. They are less familiar with rapid prospecting techniques, summer fishing, slow fishing with very small lures or, on the contrary, very large lures, fishing with hard lures, with metal lures, etc. So many techniques that are only effective in certain places at certain times. Gaël takes us to his favorite playgrounds, in sometimes secret areas of his native Normandy that he knows like the back of his hand.
