The theme of the piece is the history of Lusatia in today's eastern Germany and the Lusatian Serbs, the westernmost and smallest Slavic nation. They mention the role of the Lusatian Seminary in Prague, which was a refuge for Lusatian students of the University of Prague and a meeting place for Czech and Lusatian Serbian revivalists, and they also recall the curious attempts to join Lusatia to the Czechoslovak Republic in 1919 and 1945. The message of the document is a reminder that we are connected to Lusatian Serbs an ancient kinship that we should not be indifferent to even today. Because no culture is so strong that in the end only a mention in the history books can remain of it.
