The whole program quer with, among other things, a lack of school bus drivers, a railway expansion that threatens a farm, more homeless people and an overall stable Germany... All of this is just a click away in the ARD Mediathek: https://1.ard.de/quer?yt=vd The bus company Eibsee Verkehrsgesellschaft has terminated Garmisch-Partenkirchen on December 31st. The situation was unbearable: too few bus drivers for the many tourists, full buses, aggression. For a long time it was unclear whether there would be a school bus to Garmisch for Grainau schoolchildren from January 2024. Now there is a thinned-out emergency timetable. There is a shortage of over 4000 bus drivers across Bavaria because the job means a lot of responsibility, stress, long working hours for little pay. The bus operator Josef Ettenhuber from Glonn is even trying to recruit bus drivers from India, but the bureaucracy makes this a Sisyphean task.
