We report on the Plandampftage in September 1999. About a trip on one of the most beautiful railway lines in Germany, the Eifelbahn Cologne-Trier. Regional express trains and regional trains, all steam-hauled, offered a program that took place mainly on the steep and scenic track from Cologne Cathedral to the Porta Nigra in Trier. The highlight of the program is the large steam locomotive meeting in Gerolstein with a rally, locomotive parade and depot activities.
